While in college, Larry was a member of the National Student Business League (NSBL) at Tuskegee University. Lynette was a member of the same organization at her school, The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES). The two met during a business conference at Tuskegee in November 2008. Larry greeted Lynette and other UMES students and showed them around campus. Lynette was too busy filming the trip with her video camera so she didn't pay Larry any mind at the time. :) The two never really spoke during the conference, despite realizing they were standing next to each other in every single picture they were in together.

 

The next year Lynette visited Tuskegee again for that same business conference. Larry had graduated already but he came back to attend the conference. The two never really exchanged words this time either. 

 

It wasn't until May of 2011 the two reconnected on Facebook. Larry was interested in joining Lynette in the development of the alumni chapter of NSBL. The two exchanged numbers and stayed in contact over the next couple of years, eventually becoming best friends. Their relationship blossomed into a love that neither expected, but later realized it was all in God's plan!
